Tammy Jeanes Dyslexia Services
Welcome
My hope is for
learning to be rewarding at any age.
A meaningful and accessible assessment can be a positive first step to removing barriers and celebrating strengths.
Why Assess?

Clarity
For many a diagnosis provides understanding and comfort.

.
Path Forward
An assessment aims to
understand strengths and weaknesses to access the best support, inform teaching interventions and exam access arrangements.

First Step
People with specific learning difficulties learn differently, but the differences don't need to hold them back. Gaining an understanding of the root causes of learning difficulties can be the first step to success in learning.
How Can I Help?
Dyslexia Assessments

Children up to 16 years old

Full diagnostic assessments for children, providing a diagnosis of dyslexia, if appropriate, and recommendations to support school and home.
An assessment usually stems from parent concerns about their child’s learning and a motivation to find the underlying reasons for their children not achieving their true potential. A wide range of information is considered to gain a holistic view of the different factors that may influence a child’s learning.

Dyslexia Assessments

Adults 16 + years old

Full diagnostic assessments for young adults, providing a diagnosis of dyslexia, if appropriate, and recommendations to support studies.
University brings about a new set of challenges.
Usually the reading load increases and speed in comprehension becomes essential. It may be the first time difficulties are noticed.

Disabled Student Allowance (DSA) provides personal support and equipment to support students with a diagnosis of dyslexia through their studies.
